Up bright and early, have to get the car back to the rental location and then get checked in through customs etc. to board our plane home. Had a bit of trouble finding the rental car return location because of all the construction around the airport. The GPS was giving me all kinds of grief, it would not re-calculate quick enough and the roads or ramps it wanted me on were barricaded off. I could see where I wanted to be and finally after enough frustration I drove over a curb and along the one way ramp in the opposite direction and got us to where we needed to be. I was so glad to hand in the keys.
We were in plenty of time to get through customs and catch our plane, but it never ceases to amaze me how some people think that the world spins according to their schedule.. One lady was really stressed because the line was not moving fast enough and she was going to miss her connection… She said this happens every time, the line moves so slowly… well lady, get there earlier then, it is obvious that the problem is not with the line.
While we were waiting to board, Karen wandered around the concourse and took these photos of the gold inlays in the marble floor. Sea life is the theme.
Soon our plane pulled up to the gate.
Right on time we were in the air over Miami.
It was a smooth flight home, we landed at Pearson safely and the shuttle took us to our car. We arrived home safely.
