Karen and I got up early this morning and finished packing the car. We packed most of our gear last night, so just had some last minute packing to do. We headed for I - 75 and home. We started looking for a restaurant for breakfast and saw a sign for Perkins. Since we had never tried a Perkins before we decided that this would be a good opportunity. We were both very impressed, a greeter opened the door for us to enter, another greeter took us to our table. Every waitstaff we encountered between the door and our table took a moment to say good morning. I am not sure if this is what goes on in each Perkins, but it was a refreshing change from the typical attitudes of many restaurant employees. The breakfast was very enjoyable, and everyone said good bye as we walked out and the greeter held the door again. We will be looking for more Perkins Restaurants as we travel.
We pulled into McDonough GA and booked a room for the night. We are making good time heading north.
No photos today, sorry.
