Day 08 Summer 2011 Road Trip

Today we are on the road again, leaving Titusville behind us and heading for Phenix City Alabama.
First we have to stop in Christmas Florida and snap a photo of the World’s Largest Alligator.  Measuring out at 200 feet.  This is “Swampy”  He is about ready to eat our car.

This is actually a roadside attraction that we should have checked out (closed when we arrived) because they have an assortment of Florida native animals that have been injured and brought here.  A couple of peacocks came by to check if we were handing out any tidbits.

No sooner had we entered Georgia and we were driving through another brief downpour.

As we drove through Fort Benning Georgia we drive past where they are constructing a memorial.  Called the Follow Me Soldier and Two American Eagles.  3 of the 4 are completed.

Soon we are entering Alabama… this is a State that we have not visited, so we will add it to our “Visited States Map” and check into our hotel in Phenix City Alabama.
