Today we are going to check out The Strip. The famous Las Vegas Boulevard. We boarded "The Deuce" which is the public transit bus for Las Vegas. We bought a day pass so that we could get on and off as we pleased. We headed to the furthest end of the strip from our hotel and began our own sightseeing tour of all of the major hotels and casinos on the Strip.
We started with "The Luxor" the very large pyramid shaped hotel & casino.
Next stop was the "MGM Grand". Inside we saw the lions in their lion habitat.
Then we went over to "New York New York".
Next up was "The Bellagio" Of all the hotel lobbies that we have seen so far, I like the Bellagio Lobby the best. Of course, the dancing water fountains out front are a must see. We are going to come back some night and see the fountain show when it is all lit up.
We had lunch at The Bellagio, if you are looking for a cheap lunch, this is not the place to dine. My tuna salad sandwich cost $26.00
Next stop on our self directed hotel casino tour was "Caesar's Palace".
Our last stop is "The Mirage" It is getting late in the afternoon and we are both running out of energy to continue on. All of these hotels are very large and require a lot of walking to get from one to the other and then to walk through the lobbies and casinos of each, we were pooped and it was time to get back to our room and relax.
