On the road again for another fun filled, sightseeing, park visiting, dessert eating, Summer Road Trip. Left the house bright and early this morning at 7:15am. The traffic was fine till we got to the Blue Water Bridge at the Sarnia border crossing. Construction for several miles before the bridge had us all down to one slow lane.
Halfway across the Blue Water Bridge and we are officially in Michigan.
The US Customs agent had a few questions for us, but then waved us through and we are on our way.
Last year on our Lincoln Highway road trip, we stopped at the Turkeyville Rest Area and I took a picture of Karen’s car. This year we are driving my car, so I thought it was appropriate to take a photo for comparison.
I like Karen’s car better, it is more photogenic.
We stopped at another rest area a few miles inside the Indiana border.
There was a lot of road construction from the Canadian border right to our hotel in Illinois… but the traffic was moving along at speed. Nice to see that the US is finally starting to refresh the surfaces of the Interstate Highways.
Here is the route we travelled today. 935 KM
Tomorrow we will end our day in Nebraska.
