Today we are going to re-visit Yosemite National Park and see some of the things we missed yesterday. Yosemite has been added to our list of National Parks to come back to in future years. There is a lot to see and do in this park and we will be back.
Our first stop is the Mariposa Grove. The Sequoia Trees tower above our heads. There are several hundred in this grove.
These sequoia trees are about 2400 years old, and some of them are named. This is “The Bachelor & Three Graces”
This is the giant roots of a fallen sequoia tree.
After walking around the pathway among the giant trees, we headed to Washburn Point.
From this vantage point we could see a different view of Half Dome.
Does this rock look like a “Happy Face” to you…. we think it does.
We could also see the Nevada Falls and the Vernal Falls from Washburn Point. Nevada Falls are at the top, and Vernal Falls are at the bottom.

Next stop is Glacier Point. Another overlook with a slightly different view of Half Dome.
We got our first views of Bridalveil Falls as we came through the tunnel into the Discovery View Overlook.
We got out of the car and wandered around the Discovery View Overlook and took more photos of the falls and of a different angle of Half Dome.
Leaving Yosemite National Park, we got a final view of El Capitan.
We look forward to re-visiting Yosemite, but now it is time to move on to our next National Park in our Summer 2010 Park to Park Road Trip.
To see all of our photos from today, you can see them on my FLICKR site.
