Day 15 Summer 2011 Road Trip

Choo Choo…  All Aboard .. today we are going to see another of Chattanooga’s famous attractions… The Chattanooga Choo Choo.  I always thought the Chattanooga Choo Choo was a specific train, but we learnt today that there was no such train.  There were hundreds of different trains that ran the line between Chattanooga TN and Cincinnati OH and it was the “route” that was named rather than the train.

  

We rode the trolley car around what is left of the rail yard.  Most of the tracks have been ripped up and buildings removed to make room for a hotel on the property.

  

After visiting the Chattanooga Choo Choo, we went in search of the Flying Saucer House.  We found it and took photos.. a very unique house.
